Mehrdad Lajevardi was born in 1978 in Tehran. He began learning music as a teenager with a piano and began learning Solfège, as well. He then went through a full course of traditional Iranian music with a special instrument of Setar and received the certificate of completion of the course from Master Jalal Zolfonoun. He also learned music from professors such as Dariush Pirniakan, Masoud Shoari. Mohammad Firouzi and Mohsen Elhamian.
